Voorhees Animal Orphanage
The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (“VAO”) is a 501-c-3, non-profit Municipal Animal Shelter dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted animals until permanent homes can be found. We are an open-intake animal shelter serving 26 municipalities in Southern New Jersey, 22 of which are right here in Camden County.
VAO is also an Adoption Center. That means when space allows, we are able to rescue cats & dogs from over-crowded, high-kill shelters and rescues. We work with local, regional and national shelters and rescue groups, saving lives wherever and whenever we can.
Monetary proceeds raised by CoCivicCo’s Howl-O-Ween Event will be donated to the VAO Emergency Medical Fund. Nearly half of the animals who come through VAO’s doors each year require some form of medical attention, ranging from basic vaccinations, spay, and neuter, to extremely complicated and sensitive procedures. The VAO Medical Fund is what makes these treatments possible and gives these animals a chance to thrive and find their forever families!
